Angelica is a biennial plant that thrives in moist, shady conditions and requires well-drained soil. Its roots can grow up to 4 feet deep, allowing for improved nutrient uptake and strong, healthy growth. With proper care, Angelica can produce abundant, aromatic blooms, making it a beautiful addition to any garden.

Soil requirements: Moist, well-drained soil.
Harvest notes: The root is typically harvested in the fall of the first year or in the spring of the second year.
Uses: All parts of the plant are used medicinally or for culinary purposes. The root in particular is highly aromatic. Blooms can be added to a bouquet.
Notes: Contact with the foliage and stems can result in a severe rash, particularly when working with the plant on hot sunny days.
