Medicinal Mushrooms with Hannah Morano. June 30, 11 - 1230 pm
Medicinal Mushrooms: making extracts and tea from our local heroes. In this workshop Hannah will demonstrate how to ethically forage for mushrooms that contain compounds which benefit the immune system, lymph, intestines and brain. We will meet five local heroes: Chaga, Reishi, Turkey Tail, Lions Mane and Maitake. She will walk us through ways to process the mushrooms into double extract tinctures, broths, and teas. Handouts with Materia Medica and recipes provided. Each participant gets to take home a tincture we make in class.
